Movie to Avoid: Blackhat

Last night my husband and I got free tickets to see Blackhat. This is the new film with Chris Hemsworth of Thor fame where he is a convicted computer hacker pulled out of prison to help the government with some cyber terrorists.

Skip this movie folks. Read a spoiler and then just avoid wasting 2 hours and 15 minutes of your life like we did. The movie is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo slow and drawn out that you will find yourself desperately seeking something, ANYTHING to happen already.

What happened in the theater last night sums up perfectly what every one of us were most likely thinking as we waited what felt like forever for this movie to end. SPOILER ALERT: When Chris Hemsworth finally tracks down the cyber terrorist and finally kills him a lady in the movie theater screamed "Took us 2 hours to get to get to THIS! Finally!" and the entire theater erupted into laughter indicating everyone agreed.

This movie could have been so good. Seriously! If they had deleted the painfully dull moments of silence and random sequences of walking that we didn't actually need it could have been over in under 90 minutes and actually have been pretty good. Instead they drew it out, made it way longer than necessary and threw in what I felt was an unneeded sex scene without really any lead up to it.

If you see this film you will most likely be just as disappointed as we were. That is all...

Welcome to 2015 Friends!

Happy New Year pals and gals! Today, I want you to focus on all the positivity that comes with a fresh start. Enjoy the relief that comes with knowing you can make the rest of your life the best of your life. One of my favorite lines from one of my favorite musical numbers is:.

"Yesterday is history [be gone!]
And it's never comin back!"

So, if we can't have yesterday back, then by all means let's quit looking back at it! Sure, learn from your mistakes of the past and try not to make them again, but don't dwell in it anymore! Here's to 2015! Let's make it our best year yet!
