Throwback Thursday- Skittle Cupcakes

flower cupcake

For today's Throwback Thursday I found a few pictures I took of some Skittles cupcakes I made in October of 2011. Above is a flower and below is a smile face and some letter cupcakes to spell out USF! (Go Bulls!!!) I recall the cupcakes themselves being good but only AFTER removing the Skittles. They just didn't taste good with the cake. However, they were cute to look at!

Everything Must Go So I Can Too!

full of bull jacqui

Unless you have been living under a rock (or simply not keeping up with my blog and status updates on twitter and facebook lol) you know I'm looking for folks to help me on my road to BlogHer. My dream of becoming a ProBlogger came true when I got hired on with About.com and now my next goal is to become a high income earning ProBlogger. With that said I need $1,000 to get to BlogHer to cover travel, the conference ticket and miscellaneous expenses. I'm reaching out to everyone I know and a bunch of people I don't asking them to donate to my BlogHer fund.

Some amazing folks have already donated a nice chunk including:
- Donovan Dreyer of http://www.getreadycoaching.com
- Terry Rader of Premier Jewelry Designs
- and some other generous donors who wished to remain anonymous

To up the ante, I'm selling a bunch of my stuff to get to BlogHer. First up, is the last of my inventory of Full of Bull Shirts...I've got the following available... 5 Smalls, 6 large and 7 XL shirts. The shirt is picture above. Interested in buying one? contact me via the button above or HERE and let me know what size in the comments section and I'll shoot an invoice to you and then mail it out right away. They are only $15 including shipping!!!

Also for sale, discounted outdoor family photo sessions. Normally I charge $200 for one hour and the CD of all the negatives. I'll knock off $100 for anyone who wants to buy one of these sessions before March 31,2013!!!(Offer is only valid in the Tampa Bay area)

I'll post more stuff I'll be selling in the coming days until I've reached my fund goal!!

Thanks to everyone who has already donated and thanks to everyone who is going to donate. =)

#TBT - I keep seeing folks posting Throwback Thursday images and I must confess, I LOVE the idea. Looking back through awesome memories always makes me smile. So, with that I decided I will try from now on to remember to post a Throwback Thursday image here on my website. If you want to see them, they will be here, if not...feel free to carry on with your day ;) Above is an image from my birthday week (specifically 8/13/2009) when I got to meet the fabulous and very funny Jo Koy! I met him at Improv in Ybor City. We scored free tickets and you can too. Check out how to get free tickets to Improv HERE :)

You can actually watch Jo Koy's comedy special Don't Make Him Angry completely free with a 1 month trial of Netflix. Interested in how to get in on this deal? Check it out via Tampa Bay Freebies :)

Operation Purge- My Challenge to You

purge image

It's time. I've begun operation purge (again LOL)! I have so much crap that has accumulated in my small living quarters that I decided a lot of stuff just has to go. Last weekend I got rid of 8 boxes of stuff and there is still more stuff I want to get rid of.

Why do we keep stuff we know we will never use again? Well, Oprah.com said it could be that we think we might use again or that we have issues with perfectionism. There were other reasons listed but, my bottom line is when I get rid of stuff I always feel better. So, I'm going to keep purging until I have everything organized and I'm only keeping things that have actual value to me whether it be sentimental value or use value.

This weekend I challenge you to get rid of some stuff too. I got the idea for a 100 items purge challenge HERE. Let me know if you take the challenge and what you plan to get rid of. Happy purging ya'll!

Help Send Me to BlogHer!

The Famous Ashley Grant in a Blue Shirt

Okay! I'm getting impatient. LOL. Since no companies have signed on to sponsor me outright for #BlogHer I'm going to ask EVERYONE to donate to a fund to send me to the BlogHer conference in July in Chicago, Illinois. Now, you may be asking yourself, "Why should I care and help this girl who claims to be The Famous Ashley Grant?" That's a very good question potential donor and thank you for asking. Here are five reasons to donate to my fund to get myself to BlogHer:

1. Donating to a cause will make us both feel good. You, because you did something nice for someone else and me, because I'll get to go to the conference and learn how to get more famous.

2. Getting me famous will lead to more entertainment for you all, giveaways on my blogs, more fun posts on my blogs and opportunities for you to watch me make a complete spectacle of myself ;)
let me entertain you image

3. You will know that you helped a girl working towards a dream and once she is famous you will be able to say, "I helped make that girl famous!"

4. When I do get famous I'll remember you because I will keep a list of everyone who helps me get there and they will all get shout outs!!!

5. I really really really want to go and helping me get there will make me love you forever!

So, ready to help me get to BlogHer? Awesome! You can donate to my fund HERE
Thanks in advance. I appreciate each and every one of you. xoxo
I only need 100 people to donate $10 for me to be able to go. That's not that much so let's do this!!

Pinterest Pinspired Waffles

I got the idea from pinterest to make biscuits in a waffle maker. This was the result! These were so yummy with syrup that I doubt I'll ever pull out the mixing bowl, flour and eggs again when I get a waffle craving!!! The can of biscuits was just a little over $1 and we got 10 little waffles out of that $1. Money deliciously spent? Yes! YUM!!!

Sponsor Me for #BlogHer 2013

the famous Ashley Grant sexy

I want to go to #BlogHer '13. This Ninth Annual Conference will take place in Chicago, Illinois from July 25 - July 27, 2013 at the McCormick Convention Center and the Sheraton Chicago.

I attempted to raise the funds for this via Kickstarter and they turned me down saying you could not raise money for a vacation. This is not a vacation!!! It's for my life dream of being a traveling problogger.

Anyone want to be my sponsor for the blogging conference in July? I'll wear your company's gear, live tweet and blog from the site referencing your company all day for a week, I'll post pictures of me wearing your company's gear, etc...
All I need is $1,000. $600 for the self sponsored rate and $200 for airfare and $200 for transportation and lodging. PLEASE! Anyone?

How Can You Start Living Your Dream?

Tammy Levent

We Have Infinite Power – Sure – But how can you start living your dream?

Guest Post by TammyLevent, Business Strategist, Life Coach, and CEO of Elite Travel

“We Have Infinite Power” to live the lives we want – that’s my personal motto, and the one I teach in my WHIPshop™ classes. It’s easy to say, but believing that it applies to you is the hard part. Before you can access your power to build your dream life, there are three things you need to do to lay the foundation.

1.       Stop dwelling on the past. You can’t look back and run forward at the same time.
Responsibilities claim us, our own choices seem to limit us, personal tragedies can rip our lives apart - and suddenly, we see more closed doors than open ones. But the open doors are there (and if they aren’t, you can make them). Successful people don’t lead charmed lives in which nothing bad ever happens, but they don’t dwell on their failures either. They move on from Plan A to Plan B – all the way down to Z – when things don’t work out.  It’s not about staying positive; it’s about having a learning curve.

2.       Your best teachers are the people who have hurt you. Learn from them.
Sometimes it’s not an act of God that prevents us from living our dreams – people are just as capable of knocking us down.  Learn from those experiences so you can avoid them the next time you see warning signs.

3.       Surround yourself with people who are living their dreams.
It’s like you tell your kids when they’re growing up: you are who you’re with. If you surround yourself with people who are stuck in their bad situations, it’s too easy to remain mired in your own limitations. Instead, surround yourself with people who inspire you, and who you can learn from.

Now, what is your dream?
